Escape The Room’s eight exclusive escape room experiences are filled with secrets and mystery, but we operate with full disclosure when it comes to informing you about who we are and what we do as the original escape room in Chicago at Oakbrook Center. Just don’t expect to have any information handed to you when it comes to making your escape.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Chicago’s Escape The Room first offered participants a new social gaming opportunity in March 2018 at the Oakbrook Center. Chicago is one of the most visited cities in the United States, and Escape The Room in Oak Brook is proud to offer a sheltered activity to locals and tourists right here in The Windy City. Add in a thriving art scene, a dynamic economy, and being home to teams in each of the major professional sports leagues, and Chicago has everything needed to be the perfect site for our puzzle room escapes.

FUN FACTS

While Escape The Room has locations scattered around the U.S., including New York, Boston, St. Louis, Detroit and Dallas, our employees at our Chicago location are experts at catering to the busy nature of the big city, so we know that we must be doing something right here. While our players are scrambling to escape, our employees are scrambling to be let in.

Some of the city’s most elite players, professionals, and performers have attempted to escape our rooms, but with a 20% success rate, the majority of them don’t make it out. Will you be one of the elite to successfully escape?

OUR ESCAPE ROOMS

We have six unique escape rooms: Jurassic Escape, The Submarine, Meltdown, The Dig, The Agency, The Clock Tower, The Theater, and Cartman’s Escape Room. Each room has its own setting, secrets, storyline, and escape route. For instance, players travel to the depths of the ocean in The Submarine, while the minutes to curtain call tick away in The Theater. If you don’t mind taking a trip into the heart of the earth, The Dig offers the perfect ambiance. Are you looking for something more adventurous? Get stuck in a crazy time loop in The Clock Tower. Save the city from an impending nuclear plant meltdown in Meltdown.

Regardless of which room you choose, you’ll have 60 minutes to search for clues and make escape before time runs out. After you’ve successfully triumphed over one challenge, we hope to see you back in Oak Brook for the other mysteries that await in our other rooms at Oakbrook Center.
