A restaurant is running a special for couples to pay half price for their dinners on their anniversary. To prevent scams, the couples had to show documentation. One Thursday afternoon, a couple walked in; they did not bring any proof but insisted it was their anniversary. The manager came to speak with them and when he asked the wife about their wedding day, she said “it was a Sunday afternoon, 28 years ago today. Birds were chirping, and the flowers were in full bloom.”
“How lovely”, said the manager. “However, you do not qualify. You are lying.”
