THE DETROIT ORIGIN STORY

Escape The Room’s three exclusive escape room experiences are filled with secrets and mystery, but we are an open book when it comes to informing you about who we are and what we do as the original escape room in Detroit. Just don’t think we’ll hand over all the information to you when you try to make your escape.

In March of 2016 Detroit’s Escape The Room began offering a unique social gaming experience for all of our participants. Because we take great pride in the design of our escape rooms, we couldn’t resist establishing ourselves in the first US city to be named a “City of Design” by UNESCO. With influences in multiple music genres, the U.S. automotive industry, and the economy of the Midwest, Detroit is the perfect place for our puzzle escape rooms.

While Escape The Room has locations all over the U.S., including New York, Boston, St. Louis, Atlanta and Dallas, many of our 300 employees regularly request to be transferred to our Detroit location, so we know that we must be doing something right here. While our players are scrambling to escape, our employees are scrambling to be let in.

OUR ESCAPE ROOMS

We have three unique escape rooms: The Agency, The Dig, and The Rec Room. Each room has its own setting, secrets, storyline, and escape route. You can be a top secret agent and solve all the puzzles in The Agency. If you don’t mind taking a trip into the heart of the earth, The Dig offers the perfect ambiance. Take a step back in time to the 80s in the Rec Room, where you’ll have only 60 minutes to escape an entire decade!

Regardless of which room you choose, you’ll have 60 minutes to search for clues and make the escape before time runs out. After you’ve successfully triumphed over one challenge, don’t forget to book up for a whole new challenge in one of our other rooms.
