THE WASHINGTON DC ORIGIN STORY

Escape The Room’s three exclusive Washington DC escape rooms are filled with secrets and mystery, but we are an open book when it comes to any question you have about where we came from and how we got here. Just don’t expect us to give away the answers to our rooms when you try and escape.

Washington DC was first introduced to our unique escape rooms in July of 2015. As the premium escape experience in the US, there was no denying we needed to establish ourselves in the nation’s capital. It isn’t just politics though, DC is also home to a variety of cultural scenes, including the nation’s best museums, fine arts, and sports teams, making it the ideal location for our puzzle escape rooms.

While Escape The Room has locations scattered around the U.S., including Boston, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Dallas, but we like to believe that the Washington DC location is the best. While it may not be easy to get out of our rooms, to get in, just use the buzzer on the left of the door to our building and one of our Clue Masters will let you in.

That being said, it won’t be that easy getting out. Think you and your friends can do make it?

Our two Escape The Room locations in DC boast 7 unique themed escape rooms. Escape The Room Penn Quarter has three escape rooms: The Agency, The Dig, and Jurassic. Each room has its own setting, secrets, story-line, and escape route. For instance, you’ll take on the role of a secret agent on a classified mission in The Agency. If you don’t mind taking a trip into the heart of the earth, The Dig offers the perfect ambiance. An evil corporation is ready to release dinosaurs as weapons on the DC population. Can you solve the puzzles and survive Jurassic Escape?

Our newest Escape The Room location in Midtown/ Golden Triangle brings four new rooms to DC. You can try your hand at Western Bank Heist, The Submarine, Outbreak or The Clock Tower. Each one will push your skills to the edge if you want to escape before time runs out. Stop a deranged sea captain and help get your crew safely to the surface in The Submarine. Travel back in time and find your way back to the future in The Clock Tower. Rob the bank before the sheriff arrives or save the country from an evil scientist.

Regardless of which room you choose, you’ll have 60 minutes to search for clues and make an escape before time runs out. After you’ve successfully triumphed over one challenge, we hope to see you back for the other mysteries that await in our other rooms!
