Two locations. Eight rooms. The only escape room brand in the city with this kind of range.
Perfect rating across both locations. DC doesn't grade on a curve, and neither do we.
Penn Quarter (steps from the National Mall) and I Street NW (near Farragut). Pick the one closest to you — or do both in one weekend.
Both spots are a block or two from a Metro station. Gallery Place for Penn Quarter, Farragut North for I Street. This is DC — nobody's driving if they don't have to.

1720 I St NW · Near Farragut North & Farragut West Metro · 5 rooms
Escape The Room is the only escape room brand in DC with two locations — and that's not an accident. We opened Penn Quarter first, steps from the National Mall and Gallery Place. Then we added I Street NW for the K Street crowd, the Dupont crowd, and anyone who just wants more rooms to conquer. Between the two spots, you've got eight completely different experiences: spy thrillers, underwater rescues, dinosaur labs, Wild West heists, archaeological digs, a pandemic outbreak, and DC's only Quiz Boxing arena.
Every room comes with a dedicated game master, unlimited hints, and 60 minutes of pure problem-solving chaos. We're open 10AM to 11PM daily, both locations are Metro-accessible, and prices start at $37/person. Whether it's date night, a birthday, or your team's quarterly outing — this beats another dinner reservation.

DC runs on teams — and ours is the team building that actually works. With two locations and eight rooms, we can handle groups of any size. Split your team across rooms, run a competition-style format, and let the puzzle-solving panic do the bonding for you. Law firms, agencies, nonprofits, tech companies — they all keep coming back because it works better than another offsite with a PowerPoint.

The National Portrait Gallery is next door (free!), and the National Mall is a 10-minute walk south. And Chinatown's right here when you need food after — Daikaya and China Chilcano are both within a block.
Book Penn Quarter →While you're here: The White House is four blocks south — you can't miss it. Dupont Circle and its restaurant scene is a 10-minute walk north. The K Street corridor has no shortage of happy hour spots before or after your game.
Book I Street →Everything you need to know about escape rooms at our DC locations.
DC has no shortage of things to do — but most of them involve staring at something behind a velvet rope. Escape The Room is the opposite: you're inside the experience, solving problems with the people you came with, and nobody's checking their phone for 60 straight minutes. Two locations means you can hit Penn Quarter before a Caps game or I Street after work on K Street. Either way, you're walking out with a better story than "we went to dinner."
